Growth on Chinese market confirmed Number of exhibitors at analytica China 2010 up again

Shanghai / Munich , September 14, 2010 – analytica China 2010 opens its gates in Shanghai tomorrow w ith a double-digit increase in the number of exhibitors for the fourth time in a row. Some 468 companies from 22 countries will have exhibits at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC) from September 15 – 17, 2010. They include domestic companies, such as Beion Med, Shanghai Lab-spectrum Instruments or Phenix Optical, as well as leading international companies such as Agilent, Dionex, Eppendorf China and GE Healthcare. Among other things, they will showcase the latest methods and techniques in the sector for environmental analysis as well as 黄金城游戏 for quality control in the food and drug industries. The scientific portion of the event will include the renowned analytica China Conference, also known as the Shanghai International Symposium on Analytical Chemistry, as well as the Symposium on Proteomics and Disease 2010 and the Sino-German Symposium 2010. "The nearly 18% increase in the amount of exhibition space compared to 2008 is an unmistakable sign of the growing importance of the Chinese sector for analysis, laboratory technology and biotechnology. That is also demonstrated by the lively interest among international exhibitors, which account for 40 percent of the companies at this year’s analytica China ." Besides some 282 Chinese exhibitors, the most strongly represented countries in 2010 are Japan , the USA and Hong Kong . Australia , Germany and Great Britain will each have a joint exhibit at the fair.

The scientific counterpart that focuses on the fair’s top themes is the analytica China Conference 2010, which once again is being organized by the Chinese Chemical Society and Messe München International. "Developments surrounding the analytica China Conference also underscore the growing significance of the Chinese market. In China , this two-day event is now considered the most important scientific 黄金城游戏 in the industry," explains Bargmann. Some 50 international experts from the industry and research institutes present the latest findings and future trends in sectors including quality control in analysis, environmental analysis and food analysis . Renowned scientists, such as Prof. Erkang Wang and Prof. Xinmiao Liang , both members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, are among the speakers taking part in the "Analysis of Food and Pharmaceuticals/TCM" session. Prof. Zimmermann from Helmholzt Institute in Munich will talk about "Soft photo ionization of organic compounds in mass spectrometry" while the prize winners of the analytica Research Award 2010, which was presented in Munich in March, will introduce the results of their research.

Proteomics and Diseases Conference 2010

Following its successful debut in 2008, the Proteomics and Diseases Conference is being held in conjunction with fair again in 2010. The two-day symposium to promote proteome research in China is being organized by the China Human Proteome Organization (CNHUPO), the Beijing Proteome Research Center and Messe München International and takes place at the same time as the analytica China Conference . The 14 presentations and case studies focus above all on new methods and technologies applied in proteome research and their use in medical research. Dr. Jun Quin from Baylor College of Medicine in the USA and Dr. Xiaohong Qian from Beijing Proteome Research Center are two of the most prominent scientists taking part in the symposium.

Sino-German Symposium 2010

The Sino-German Symposium, which will bring German and Chinese scientists together on September 16 th , revolves around the latest trends and research findings in the fields of chromatography, separation and sample analysis. It is hosted by the Sino-German Research Group for Separation and Analysis of Complex Samples and Messe München . Chairmen Prof. Dr. Dr. Boos from the University of Munich and Prof. Dr. Guowang Xu from DICP in Dalian, China, were able to win over ten outstanding speakers from Germany and China for the symposium, amongst them Dr. Rosa Morello from the Medical Center of the University of Munich or Prof. Dr. Xiangmin Zhang from the Fudan University in Shanghai/China.
